Gathering was at my dads house this year. I went with him last night to get a few bottles of wine and a couple six packs of craft beer just to have in case. Trash side of the family shows up with coolers full of Miller Light like we were tailgating for an LSU game.
I’m so glad I moved away from Louisiana. You can’t control where you come from, but you damn sure can control where you end up.
This was the first first fight I’ve witnessed since college.

Do you people have nothing better than politics to discuss at family gatherings?
frick man I follow politics pretty closely and it just never occurs to me to bring it up in normal conversations, much less at Christmas. My family doesn’t either. I just must be better than all of y’all.
