Sunshine! We moved away from the South over 20 yr ago where the winters had that steel gray overcast for much of the winter. We're in the Rockies where (chamber of commerce claims) 300+ days of sunshine/yr .. probably not that much but close to it. If a winter storm hangs around longer than a couple days or I'm traveling for work back East where it's socked in ... yeah it comes back hard. Get back in the sunlight, even if it's cold, and things improve greatly.

OK so maybe you can't move to fix this, but look at the color temperature of the light bulbs in your home and office. Find some bulbs that mimic the color temperature of daylight -- bet it helps.
