Then why can't he play against OU? He's suspended. He's suspended for a reason. People need a reality check[/quote]

You need a reality/sonic check. Maybe he did make a bad decision(s), but I’m confident you have zero introspect into his circumstances, punishment, or reconciliation. I don’t claim to, but you feel he should be punished further.

I do trust that when the coach says a player is eligible to play after a penalty it means that all dues have been paid by said player. In this case, he stayed in good graces, paid the price, and graduated.

I’m going to side with Orgeron on football player eligibility over some self righteous pussy that starts threads about playing golf in Europe.

You have no idea why he left the team so you cannot possibly judge that decision. He left, took care of whatever was the issue, returned, practiced with the team and just graduated college. If his reason for leaving & returning is good enough for his team mates & Coach O, it’s good enough for me.

Well, we do kinda know now why he left. He was suspended. He won't be eligible to play until, hopefully, LSU makes it to the championship game. So that part is not a mystery.

However, the penalty will have been served, and if LSU should make it to that point, there's no reason he shouldn't play. It's ridiculous that anyone would think a six game suspension is not plenty enough for what was likely smoking weed.

Can he play offense like tight end or rb. Like to see some surprises when ever he finally takes the field after his timeout

If we get to New Orleans, he still shouldn't play. He chose what was more important than football and his teammates. How people take up for his actions is shocking. Not to mention by that point he won't have played football for 2 months. Doubt he's going to just come back and ball out.
using that logic, you also want to suspend multiple other starters, including Charles and Fulton. GTFO

People have said this multiple times...

Let me explain it to you...Charles has been suspended and righted his wrongs. Fulton sat an entire year because of trying to beat the system...he also learned from his mistake. Only one person has been suspended year and year for multiple games, then chose to continue to do what he was doing every after the initial suspension. I do not understand why people compare them together. It’s not like Divinity failed A drug test. He’s failed like 10

So did Dee Anderson, that guy had so much potential, would have been fun to see him in this offense
Good to see they are sticking with it despite off field issues
At the end of the day it is an accomplishment that will serve them well moving forward

I’m not going to take up for his actions. But he’s paid the consequences of those choices. When we get to the championship game, I’ll trust the coaching staff to make the right decision on how to handle the rotation that game.

So what if he had a set suspension & it’s over by that game?

It’s no different than the other guys you mentioned that “paid their penance”. If they were forcing him back in spite of team rules, then he’d be playing next week. It’s really not that hard to understand

oom! Being graduated from LSU is something that probably half the nitwits on this board haven’t ever sniffed.

about 99.9% of the board probably never received a full ride scholarship to play football and earn a degree
