I was in Dublin last year over St Patrick’s Day. Tourists everywhere from all over the world (obviously including us). It turned in to a zoo. The locals don’t really even celebrate the holiday, which was surprising to me. They just seem to lay low as all the tourists take over.

The weather was cold and rainy almost every day. The parade was not fun. Avoid Temple Bar area after the parade... shoulder to shoulder people trying to squeeze in to the pubs.

The highlights of the trip were getting away from Dublin, the Guinness & whiskey. Howth was a really cool town and enjoyed driving through Wicklow Mountains.

I’m not planning on returning to Dublin ever again, but I would travel to other parts of Ireland if I had the opportunity. I missed the parade and festivities in Baton Rouge.
