My oldest is just now old enough to get into Santa/Christmas, so we haven't crossed that bridge yet.
My wife had the news broken to her when she was 5 by her mom. Her mom kept asking her what she wanted for Christmas, and my wife would only tell her that Santa knew what she wanted. My mother in law finally got frustrated and told her there was no Santa and she better say what she wanted or would get nothing, destroyed my father in law
