While i'm not a huge fan of food stamps one of reasons that people on them are fat is because the cheapest food is the most unhealthy crap you can put in your mouth. It isn't food and it has huge doses of MSG in it so you must feed your mouth more to feel full. If there was a way to use a sliding scale on fresh food versus doritos maybe there would be more people that could get off their arse, not have the diabeetus, be disabled, and less heart attacks, and also get out of the damn motorized grocery carts and go to work.

Don't forget those motorized carts are also subsidized by medicaid. If we gonna help the poors it needs to be with healthy food. Not doritos made out of shite imported from china. If the gubment gonna subsidize farmers make it for something for people to eat and not something to turn into ethanol.
