YOU HAVE to use the rankings as they were when the teams played. shite happens throughout the season. Teams deal with injuries, players getting better or worse, their seasons being ruined and they stop playing like they give a damn, adjustments in game planning or scheme, etc.

And, yes. I dont agree with ranking teams that early in the season. I think they should wait until about halfway through. But if youre going to rank teams that early, then use the fricking rankings. You cant have your cake and eat it too. You cant have it both ways.

Teams are dynamic, Not static. Its obvious that teams can get better through out the season. Thats why teams can climb so far in the rankings. People forget, they can also get worse

I totally agree about using rankings when the teams played. I think incorporating both may be better. Most importantly, get rid of the fricking eyeball OPINION and replace that with a computer ranking like the BCS used.
