How often do you pull an all or mostly all nighter?

I average once a month. I try to nap 20-30 minutes or sleep for 90 minutes if possible. Anyone have tips or tricks on how to do it?

All nighters? 24hrs or just a long day.
Doing 36 or 48 is not that unusual. It sucks though. Not recommended. Not exactly something to be proud of.

If you are doing a 36hr run, or even just 24hr I suggest NOT sleeping. For me at least it kills my momentum and I feel like dogshit the rest of the time.
I can do 24hrs without thinking, over ~32hrs I have to be doing something somewhat physical at least part of the time or I will go into the half-asleep zone.

Alcohol after 24 hours usually makes it a struggle.
Sitting still is a recipe for a crash. Outside and movement means no issues.

Since I retired I sleep like shite. Either I'm up posting at this time or I wake at 3:30 and start posting then. I don't often stay up 24 hours straight or more but I mostly don't sleep more than 5 hours straight.

Stuck in an airport hotel. Delayed flights and meetings have cost me a lot of stress and money. It’s going to be an all nighter. Not by choice.

If you are not at least semi-regularly doing something interesting enough that makes you miss sleep, you're living a pretty boring life.

The older I get the more irregular my sleep has become. Pulled an all nighter last night even though I tried to get some sleep.
Happens once a week or so.

I’m 34 and usually wake up at 6:30am and am in bed for 8:15pm every day. With a four year old.
I need my beauty sleep. No way I could do now what I did in college.

If I’m doing something I enjoy, I usually don’t start fading until 4ish in the morning. Used to fish all night in the summertime and was a lot of fun. Never phased me

I'm an adult, so never.
Ideally I'm in bed by 9. I wake up most mornings between 5:30 and 6.
