Cmon man, we're literally on a subject about the need for evidence of a claim, and here you are making a claim without evidence.

There's no evidence that he DID deserve them.

99% of the time when someone wins these awards, when he/she is publicly lauded the backstory is also told.

Example: "Officer Vindman exited his military vehicle and returned fire against the enemy, successfully fighting off the attack, but not before sustaining gunshot and shrapnel wounds."


Nothing like this is ever said about his commendations. It's just "he served. He was awarded blah blah."
