Ruger 10/22, you can do a lot with these guns. 22's don't kick at all and ammo is dirt cheap. Can kill small game and fun to plink at targets

I second the Ruger 10/22. You can keep it simple or dress them up as much as you want to.

Mine is a tack driver.
