For the past decade we’ve played Bama with a great defense and a stone aged offense. If we had this type offense the past decade, we would have a winning record against them. It feels good knowing we have a great offense to go with our defense. Coach O deserves a lot of credit. He has to be national coach of the year!

Why wouldn’t we? This team has literally been defense reliant and power ball during this span. We’d definitely lead the series. The difference between us and Bama is merely coaching - athletes are the same and have been. Burrow has revived us!

ok ill play this stupid little game. If alabama had elite quarterback play in all those games like they have now with Tua, do you think do you think the outcome will be in favor of lsu or alabama. Blake sims beat lsu

We haven’t had a top 10 nfl draft qb prospect for the past decade. The offense has certainly helped but I think people that think simply switching the offense would have beaten Bama all these years are discounting how good Burrow is right now.

My argument is coaching. Les expired years ago with power I. If the LSU offense evolved with the league informed by coaching, LSU leads the series without a doubt. Our talent has been evenly matched since 05’. Coaching has been the diff is my argument. Mic dropped

Each team has one rememberable line and Bamas was the year before last/last. Skills players advantage equal. Coaching - advantage bama. Simple equation

the offensive and defensive lines control the game, and Alabama's lines have been far better than LSU over the last 8 seasons. it does not matter if you are running an air raid, power spread, or the wish one.

Sorry Kylo, but it does matter. If all you can do is run, they stack the box, ie 2011 championship game. Jefferson running scared. They were in his face all game. Now take Clemson last year. They destroyed Bama, because they could throw it. Joe Burrow will do the same Saturday.

Somebody will get a targeting call on Bama's first drive.

Or someone will breathe on Tua and get tossed.

We did not have a QB to play this offense other then Mettenberger. Jennings Harris and Etling could not have done much with this offense. Maybe Etling. If not for Chavis we win two of the games as it was.

You are wrong. Bama has dominated the LOS the last 7 for sure. Not sure if you even know how to watch football.

Compare Burrow last year to Burrow this year and get back with us about that nonsense about simply switching the offense not making a difference. Was he considered a top 10 pick under the offense last year? That is exactly what Saban did after the 9-6 defensive slugfest. Bama and LSU were mirror images of themselves offensively up to that point. Conservative offenses that relied on a strong running game with a great defense. Turnover adverse.

Saban quickly realized that those type offenses were good for 8-10 wins max a season based on superior talent alone. He knew he couldn’t regularly beat an equally talented LSU with that system and he opened up his offense. Les Miles never made that realization. He was more interested in winning the 8-10 games a year. The best decision ever for Saban and Bama, who knew, as the nation did, that LSU was as talented as Bama but with a conservative, easily predictable offense. Miles gifted Saban half of those games and multiple championships by refusing to update his offense. This is the first year Saban has had to game plan for a diverse, imaginative offense at LSU.
