As far as I know it is not legal to poison raccoons. I don't hunt in an area yet with bears or hogs, so only know the coon grease works on coons. That being said, bear spray is a real strong cayenne pepper spray. No matter the animal, coons, bears, or hogs, I'd say the cayenne pepper should burn their mouths. Again its cheap ingredients at walmart. Buy the equate brand vaseline, cayenne pepper, and pepper flakes. I know dollat general sells the pepper flakes for $1 a bottle, and the petroleum jelly for like $2.00 for a large jar. DG doesn't carry the cayenne powder though. If trying to deter hogs and bears then I'd double the amount of the cayenne powder, by using two bottles. It's cheap enough. So a large jar vaseline, 1 bottle pepper flakes, and 2 bottles cayenne pepper. I combine/mix in an old cool whip bowl just be sure when mixing and applying you use latex gloves.
