Why is everyone so optimistic about this year?

1. We have THREE top 10 wins through 8 weeks
2. We have the number ONE offense in ALL of college football
3. We have the best QUARTERBACK in college football and the Heisman front runner.

Do I need to go any further?

You've seen LSU ranked #1 with a Heisman front runner QB going to play bama before? No you haven't you tard.

Exactly
I'd also add the huge change in offensive philosophy that will put pressure on Alabama

That's what i hate if you are a true LSU fan you can see that our offense is totally different from last years. We are not a run focus team anymore and we finally have the type of offense that can put up points on Bama vs trying to win with our defense and the run game

With Texas not even ranked at this point, you know that if another rival SEC team kept making this claim we'd be laughing at them.

We’re 1 year and 1 entire offense away from that.

Alabam’s defense is worse
Our offense is better and balanced.

We may lose but we also have our best chance at winning since 2011

Ah, someone who didn't watch last year's game.

Maybe if we were playing in Tiger Stadium. The last 3 games at Bryant-Denny haven't been close.

Which factor is bigger, Burrow and our offensive scheme or Tiger Stadium?

I'd rather have Burrow and our offensive scheme than home field advantage with toss dives and a below average QB.

But that's just me.

I still think this is a great LSU team, I just don’t think they beat Alabama based on what I’ve seen in the last seven regular season games.

What have you seen from Bama that says otherwise? Also Tua is probably out or not 100%.

Then I guess it's a good thing that we have different players, different coaches, and a different philosophy. This is a stupid thread.

I think it's what we haven't seen from Bama at this point. They haven't been in a close game all year. I think Bama is a mystery more than anything.

And you know Tua will be playing.

And Bama has won 30 straight home games.

The low IQ posters, sure.

Bottom line, Texas was within a score of two top 10 teams this year.

For whatever reason bama gets into the coaches heads and makes them do dumb shite around here.

For this reason I want Brady to call all offensive plays. While he understands the gravity of the game, he doesn't have the history of failure against them to cause him to be conservative calling plays. That and of we light up the scoreboard he's looking at a bigger contract.

It's the Vitas Gerulaitis syndrome. Nobody, and I mean nobody, beats LSU 8 times in a row!

I’m glad you LSU fans are so optimistic.

I just don’t understand how all of you are so delusional.

Nick Saban owns LSU. Hopefully that changes this year, but I doubt it.

I’ll make a deal with all of you, if LSU wins, I’ll ban myself from tRant for a month.

If they lose, I bump this thread and all of you admit you were being delusional.

Bama had beaten Ole Miss 10 years in a row before that 214 game. Your logic is flawed.
