LSU goes into Bama week ranked in the top 20, LSU gets beaten by Bama.

I’m not saying it has to happen in 2019, but it’s happened seven times in a row. Why is everyone so optimistic about this year?

2012 #1 Alabama vs #5 LSU
2013 #1 Alabama vs #10 LSU
2014 #1 Alabama vs #15 LSU
2015 #2 LSU vs #4 Alabama
2016 #1 Alabama vs #15 LSU
2017 #2 Alabama vs #19 LSU
2018 #1 Alabama vs #3 LSU

It’s like everyone here has amnesia. Did any of you watch last year’s 29-0 debacle? We are less than one year removed from that monstrosity, but people here act like it didn’t happen.

Also, even if LSU loses to Alabama, the Tigers can still make the CFP at 11-1, so it won’t be the end of the world. There might be a path where LSU doesn’t have to play Bama in the CFP and can win a National Championship.

I still think this is a great LSU team, I just don’t think they beat Alabama based on what I’ve seen in the last seven regular season games.

You watched toss dives and I formations against the best front 7s in football in past years.

Now:
Their front 7 isn’t as good and we run spread concepts. Thats why people believe the outcome will be different

What an idiotic question...

Everyone here knows the record like the back of their hand . Also anyone that has a clue and watched football knows this year looks different.

Just lol

Different year and different team, during this 8game skid we should have won at least 3-4 of the games. For whatever reason bama gets into the coaches heads and makes them do dumb shite around here.

It seems you haven't watched a single LSU football game this year. You are dumb.

If we could only tell the message boards ranters that the last 8 games mean absolute jack shite on Nov 9. The only way you can let the past affect you is by dwelling on it.

You got your attention. Word of caution though, your take comes across as very dumb. Lsu may lose this game, that's very possible, since they are an underdog. I think lsu wins though. However, win or lose, will have nothing to do with previous year results. This is a totally different team.

Between the threads here and over on SEC Rant, the idea that LSU has the dumbest fans may have some legs to it. This is all bad right here.

I saw Saints fans wearing bags over their heads for years.....until they didn’t

I remember when “Clemsoning” was a thing ....until it wasn’t

I remember when USC was a juggernaut...until they weren’t.

I’ll be charitable and assume you are myopic and not stupid. But, if you believe the past of LSU pertains to this version, you are one or the other.

The difference this time is we have the QB to get it done.

The game rests with our D.

I think Bama is much better than Auburn and Texas. And those two teams were an onside kick conversion away from tying or beating us. Which was very close to happening in both games. I just don't see us winning in Tuscaloosa. I think their defense and running game are better. Maybe something like 38-28 Bama.

Texas played out of their minds against us. Any team has a shot at any team when they're playing like this.

Auburn, if that game is played 10 times that's the worst result for LSU you see.

It's true we're underdogs, and I agree that we are, but I think we win 4 out of 10 games. Let's see how it plays out.

But OP posted garbage.

I agree that we should look at previous years with caution, but to assume that just because you lost last year and the previous years, means you have little to no shot at winning this year basically insinuates that we will just never beat them again.

Simply a pessimistic view. While there are some on this board who choose to live life this way, I choose to believe in the promise of Joe Burrow and Joe Brady and Coach Eaux and Dave Aranda. This is a special team with destiny to fulfill and this is how you do it.

Just WIN!

Maybe if we were playing in Tiger Stadium. The last 3 games at Bryant-Denny haven't been close.
