i bought some utilitech ones from lowes last night to install at my current house just to see. man that was easy... will get a few more styles/light colors then decide. But i think with a $6.50/ea budget i should be good.

Beware of the Utilitech ones. I bought about 20 of the standard LED bulbs and have had 8 or of them fail within a year.

I work for Home Depot, so I'm biased but do not buy Utilitec and do not buy a random brand off Amazon. If you buy at Lowes, buy Halo or Juno.
Halo is the best brand; is dims almost as well as an incandescent bulb. It will last as long as the home. It is pricey, though.
All Halo or Commercial Electric LED recessed trims at The Home Depot have a switch on the back that let's you select the color of light and they both dim well. You have 5 choices from warmer yellow (2700K) to cool white (5000K). You will probably like slightly different colors depending on the room and space you are trying to light so the switch comes in handy.
You can also buy the smart versions that change color and dim with an App like Halo Home or Phillips Hue.
If you are on a budget, the Commercial Electric models with the light color switch come in a 4pk for $35 and they are great.
commercial electric smooth trim
commercial electric deep baffle high output
halo
halo smart - additional bridge required for full functionality
