No he won’t stingley is a freak and has a short term memory. Jeudy might make his catches but stingley isn’t going to be outmatched this is a lazy take

Your clearly stuck in the past. Stingley is much further ahead then Peterson was as a frshemn even had Better measurables then Peterson coming out of Hs stop being a stubborn a-hole and shitting on a damn 18 year old what’s wrong with you. Saying stingley has no shot of ever passing Peterson is absolutely absurd he’s already doing special things as a freshmen and will only get better can’t stand how some of this fan base can’t celebrate what our players are doing now and always feel the need to go out of their way and say he will never be the level of this or that player

It’ll probably be him, surtain, or Jeffrey Okudah for OSU

ngley is on track to be the second best corner LSU has ever had (This assumes Mathieu is a safety/nickel). Patrick Peterson is the GOAT. I don't see Patrick Peterson level talent in Stingley. Nearly, but not quite.
You are an obvious troll. Stingley is far more technically sound as a CB than Peterson was as a freshman. I think the are equally talented, but Stingley is far more polished than what Peterson was when he arrived on campus. I can’t remember a DB this polished as a freshman. He may make some freshman mistakes like recognizing plays and etc, but what he’s doing from a technical standpoint is elite. There are DB’s starting in the NFL now that don’t look as polished.

ESPN just put out their mid-season AA list and had Burrow, Jefferson, and Stingley on it.

Saying Stingley is on track to be the second best corner in DBU history is NOT shitting on him.

I clearly did not say this. You have serious reading comprehension problems. I said he wasn't tracking that way; that he could get there, but it would take significant improvement.
You have recency bias.

I can't remember how technically sound Peterson was as a freshman, but Stingley is getting by on his tremendous athletic ability. His technique is poor. If you think Stingley's technique is average, or greater, you just don't know what you're talking about.

Easily, I agree.

He could not start in the NFL right now. You saw the way Florida exploited his poor technique; the NFL would do it on every play.

And the best CBs in college are always day 1 starters in the nfl. And stingley is already one of the best CBs in college

I let you know in December

Lock for 1st team freshman AA

how exactly isn't he "tracking that way"? Patrick Peterson had 1 INT his freshman year and got run out of the building by Julio Jones that year. He didn't even make the All-SEC freshman team. Was Patrick Peterson even "tracking to be" what he actually became?

You say this like Patrick Peterson played 30 years ago. We're comparing a player that left here 9 years ago. Not really recency bias.

you really have to be trolling

Florida ran slants in front of him on several ocacsions. On one play he was singled up with their TE in the offense's right slot, and Stingley made a technique mistake that allowed the TE to easily beat him for a third down conversion. The TE drove two steps toward Stingley and Stingley turned his hips to the sideline, which is a no-no. The TE broke behind him and caught the easy pass for the first down, extending a drive. Stingley needed to stay in a back pedal. Had he done that it is doubtful they could have beaten him so badly.
Stingley did the same thing against the Texas receiver on a play he got a ton of credit for. It was the deep sideline throw he broke up. But on that play he made a terrible technique mistake that would have been an easy first down conversion had Texas run an out. Instead, Stingley was lucky that the receiver ran a fly. He was able to recover thanks to his remarkable ability.
I promise you that Stingley needs serious work on his technique. The film is out there, and good teams are going to attack Stingley until he shows he can play proper technique. You can say "bring it on", but Florida had one almost entire touchdown drive that was nothing but beating Stingley. What do you think Bama is going to do?

Absolutely. More than likely FOY.
He should be HM AA at the very least, but may end up 2nd Team AA.
