re: Going to take a trip out west San Francisco, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe. Ideas?

Yes, but Yosemite has limited access, except for summer months (because of snow). 3 days in Yosemite. Tahoe is about a two hour drive to get there. Ride around the lake takes one hour. Small villages and towns nearby are neat to tour. Go into Nevada and see Carson City....Truckee on the north shore......drive west on I 80 gets you back to the Bay Area (2-3 hr drive). San Francisco has a lot, depending on what you are looking for. Scenery wise, go over to Marin and head up to the top of Mt Tam.........great view of the bay and city from there!
