The BCS will give you the BEST 4 teams....the computer can calculate what humans can not.
That is a "propaganda" point used by many
IT IS IN FACT NOT what the NCAA wants or what the polls yield.
They want the best 4 teams while representing the most conferences to maximize viewing audience and revenues.
IMHO, they should use the BCS formula, expand to 6 teams giving #1 and # 2 (based on BCS) not BS
a bye and thus giving meaning to earning status of #1 and #2
You would still likely get representation from various conferences.

The computers aren't magic - they just output the results according to a human formula.
So why not let a group of serious people pore over a ton of data over several weeks to arrive at rankings, rather than put it in the hands of computers programmed by humans.
And also let's not forget the worst part of the BCS formula - it's two-thirds ridiculous human polls.
