Moved there in 13 with two small kids....five forks area of simpsonville was PERFECT for us. Lots of good neighborhoods.
We moved back in 16 for work but it's an incredible place,to live. The GE plant was a client of mine, I was there weekly. From five forks area it's about 7 minutes.
Eddy Kicker is a great realtor we used, LA Tech alum from Ruston. SC lets you place your kids in whichever school they want but if your out of district, you have to bring them.
Bells crossing was a great elementary, riverside was great junior high. Quite a different world from south la, but you'll come back I bet. :)
