FYI, many people live in the towns of Simpsonville or Fountain Inn for lower cost housing, better schools and quieter neighborhoods. Downtown is awesome though.

Love me some Greenville...nice and easy airport to get in and out of too.

This is the correct answer.
Best schools/neighborhoods. Quieter atmosphere but easy to hop on 385 and get downtown G-ville in 15-18 minutes.

You will love it here...moved up from Ga. 23 years ago and haven't regretted it once.

Now if Popeye's in Greer would get those damn chicken sandwiches back it will be Utopia.

My wife still jokes about it being the home of “Peg Leg” Bates and Miss South Carolina 1967 as its claim to fame.

Born in LA, grew up in ATL and went to college in Clinton. A lot has changed in the area since I left school in 1997.

Yep. Only spent a few weeks there for work but the downtown area is beautiful and there are a lot of great restaurants there.
