Very simple concept. You grow up playing and loving baseball, there is no home team, and you turn the tv on and every Cubs game is broadcasted on WGN.
Same reason you'll find plenty Braves fans in Louisiana because they were always on TBS.

Yeah in Louisiana, you have the national bases of Cubs and braves and then depending on north or south LA, you have the regional fans of the Astros or rangers.
