The guy just ran at 5.8 yards per carry, a TD, and no fumbles against Texas on the road and made some filthy moves in space. He also blocked very well, with only one miss that I can remember.

5.8 ypc is very damn good.

Is he elite like a Guice or Fournette? No, he’s not, but he’s a good RB. His only real weakness is break away speed.

I agree Emery and TDP need to get more touches these next few weeks, but CEH is our main guy this season.

Yes but Emery was rated 5 stars by 247.com dammit! He needs to be starting for a top 5 power program.

I thought he played well. He picked up a safety blitz on the late TD to Jefferson. I like me some CEH.

The disrespect for him is likely coming from the same idiots who predicted we'd blow out Texas by 3+ TDs. They're clueless idiots and all you have to do is read the rant to see plenty of proof of that.

Right now, no doubt. CEH has experience.

It’s not a knock on CEH for fricks sake. If emery would play nobody would bitch about CEH. Is it that hard for you to understand? Quit posting about this shite

He's fine and fine is about his ceiling. You likely aren't going to get game changing plays with the ball in his hands. There's more talented though less experienced backs on the roster. I was disappointed that those guys got a minimum amount of touches behind Clyde.

I understand Clyde getting the start and lions share of playing time. But theres opportunities behind him and Fournette ain't it.

I love CEH and don’t think he should lose starting role however he was definitely gassed at some points because we refused to sub him out. I’m on the train to see Davis and emery get more touches. They just bring a different element than CEH

He is dependable but he doesn't scare defenses...

Emery and Davis are going to put fear in defenses once they get settled

It is not disrespectful to say another player is better and offers the full recipe to beat the top tier teams when the time comes (Bama and auburn defense).

Emery gives that. He is faster and more elusive in space with quicker set of wheel from 1st to 2nd gear.

He will be needed deeper into the season. To think otherwise could prove dangerous for our goals.

CEH should be rotating with Emery and not starting in my opinion.

Hey, the guy made a believer out of me......and I was NOT a CEH fan. He is one durable and tough RB. That block he threw on that blitzing LB on that last touchdown pass to Jefferson turned me into a CEH enthusiast. However, I would like to see John Emery in action as well as the other RB talent.

CEH may be too slow and he may lack "breakaway speed" but the guy delivers.

He certainly deserves no disrespect.

I do think he's limited and, I do hope that one of the freshman take control and are as good as advertised.

But, CEH played to his max yesterday and, it certainly wasn't awful. A lot of teams would love to have CEH

I think we’ve been spoiled with Guys like Jeremy Hill, Fournette and Guice.

But CEH is a good SEC caliber back. He might be elite but he plays smart and knows his assignments and very rarely makes a mistake.

The freshmen may have more raw talent, but until they master the mental aspect of the game CEH should remain on the field.

I love it when posters say who should and shouldn’t see the field...we have coaches that are putting the guys who are ready out there.

Ots not a knock on ceh just because we want to see our top recruit play

Well, to be fair, if hes in for his blocking knowledge and ability, whiffing on a block and causing a sack is unacceptable.

and made some filthy moves in space.

Guess what Emery can do in space
