You have to stop comparing this team to teams from the past. This fast paced offense will keep the defense on the field more. Tonight they were on the field for 80+ plays. its going to take time to adjust to that.

Agree but not just because our offense has changed but also because almost everyone’s offense has changed. Football is not played the same way it was 10 years ago. It’s no longer 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

This is a big part of it. They aren’t used to such an efficient and quick strike offense and they’re left on the field a lot more.

Couple that with a potential Heisman candidate at QB that they must contain in the pocket bc he’s dangerous on the run. This plus the heat had them completely exhausted.

They didn’t have a good night overall and there’s definitely some things that need to be fixed like finding a balance with the HUNH . I agree it’s alarming when the defense can’t get a stop in the 2nd half and get off the field on 3rd down. I think they will figure it out though.
