The only part of MS I ever had fun in was the coast. Everything else in that state is meh. Same goes for LA north of I-10. The coast is most.

Jackson is a much shittier version of Baton Rouge

My dad is from Baton Rouge and always says Jackson is just Baton Rouge if LSU decided to put up shop somewhere else.

I wish I could say it was all hard work, which a lot of it was, but I hit the right things at the right times more than once.

You're one of the few posters on this site who makes BamaAtl look intelligent.

Chew on that for a bit, bud.

MS.

Total shithole and don’t understand how people live there.

I really enjoyed living in Biloxi. The bars were open 24 / 7 and there were actually women there. There was a dragstrip where you could race your car. There were casinos.

Where I live now is objectively better, but it's not nearly as fun.

The race to the bottom begins with threads like these. Sad.

Haha, Jackson is Baton Rouge without Corndog U and Cancer Alley.

LOL,,they’re both so bad, I don’t even know which way to argue!

Jackson has a ballet and a nice suburb.

Nola gets 16 million visitors a year to eat at world class restaurants, visit museums, take part if major concerts, festivals, super bowls, NCAA championships, etc.

but take away all the positives of LA and you're left with...Mississippi

Louisiana is a terribly run state but I'd live here over Mississippi

Jackson and Baton Rouge cancel each other out because they are basically the same city in different states

Nah. Jackson has about the same demographics as Detroit. It's the worst city in the South

La wins in default because of Saints and Pelicans.

That’s what tips the balance?

Not the food, the laissez faire culture, the festival atmosphere, LSU tailgating, etc?

It speaks volumes that everyone in this thread is evaluating the livability of the 2 worst states in the nation by Casinos, hunting accessibility, and food. The only reasonable point I've seen made in this thread is cost of living.

What about shite that matters? Infrastructure, public school funding, healthcare accessibility, obesity rates, transparency of government, wealth inequality.

It's a race to the bottom as long as the mindset is "My state has more crawfish and better gambling spots."

If Jackson is the worst I’d rank BR a close #2

I drive through MS often and do not see the same amount of litter I see everywhere in LA.

They both suck.

That's all I got.

wealth inequality

Why shouldn't this exist? We certainly have talent/skills/education and effort inequality

Mississippi doesn't tax 401k or pension. For me, it will be Ms when I retire!
