Just look on FB Marketplace or craigslist. Google the clubs that are for sale and see if you can buy something from a major equipment manufacturer that was made in the last five years. You can check the PGA Value of clubs online, so you don't get ripped off.
The bigger the club head, the better. It'll be easier to hit. You want something that is game improvement. The harder you swing, the more likely you need stiff shaft irons, not regular flex.
If you are just starting out, getting fitted isn't going to make a big difference, because your swing is likely not very repeatable. Unless you're really tall or really short, I'd just get standard loft and standard lie clubs. Once you start playing more and the scores start getting better, go get fitted.
If you want, find something and post them in this thread and I'm sure everyone would give their opinions.
