Orgeron on Bill Johnson:" My job is to be the head coach. Bill is an outstanding coach, coached a lot of outstanding players."

"He brings a wealth of things to our staff and we're happy to have him"

Orgeron says #LSU gave up six sacks today, but they were quick with the whistle on sacks.

Kardell Thomas is going to have surgery on his injured leg, Ed Orgeron announces.

Joe Burrow scored on a 2-min drive to win today's scrimmage in overtime, according to Coach O.

Orgeron says a lot of the guys who missed this week's scrimmage will likely be on the field next weekend as they practice in "game mode".

Must've been working on short yardage, I hope. I'm curious if YPC are going to drop in general

Is this where we overreact and melt about a controlled practice with stats that may or may not be accurate?

Coach O: If had to play a game today, Delpit, Fulton and Chaisson could have played. Said he expects them to take first-team reps in next week's final scrimmage, which will be basically a dress rehearsal.

Coach O on 82-yr old coaching legend John Robinson: He's in the office at 5 a.m., goes home at 10 p.m., is energetic and is having a blast.
Gives O his observations on little things he sees.
"I just remind him we don't have Munoz and Charles White out there. Not yet."

Ed Orgeron says the passing game is where #LSU wants it to be heading into the season opener.

Thinks the running game will be there once some running backs get healthier.

6 sacks and those 3 didn’t play?

Tyler Shelvin had a 'real-big hit" on John Emery today, Orgeron said, but there's still work to be done there. Apu Ika has missed some practices, and Orgeron said Joseph Evans has come along in his absence.

O: "I thought Myles had a tremendous day, made a couple deeps, some of the balls weren't completed because some of the wide receivers dropped the ball in their hands."

John Robinson told Orgeron he thinks Myles Brennan is getting better each week.

So you want short quick routes but still want the same ypc. We don't ask for much

I don’t take too much from defensive sacks in scrimmages. If they get a hand on the QB, they get credited for a sack. Even if the QB could’ve gotten away and/or gotten the ball of after the touch. Obviously, The goal there is to prevent injuring your QB.

The offensive line is my biggest concern. Can short circuit an offense quickly regardless of the concepts.

Very disappointed in Cregg so far both in coaching and recruiting. If the line underperforms this year, he may be gone.

FYI - Van Pran is likely committing to UGA tonight along with A’Shaad Clayton.
