I assume if waivers held up that well then we would’ve had waiver for every player since the concussion lawsuit.

Yeah that's why I said "ironclad," but yeah I'm no lawyer but those things from what I've seen don't tend to hold up.

Waivers don't usurp negligence.

Negligence is negligence...you can sign a waiver skydiving but that doesn't mean you can't sue if your chute doesn't open.

His lawyers could argue that the NFL was negligent by not forcing him to wear the new helmet.
