re: Anyone here been to Quebec City?

I looked up teh areas we liked away from the old town. Rue Saint-Jean is an area full of bars and restaurants and we went to a gastropub named Le Projet which was good food and they had Cantillion Geuze on draft dirt cheap...if you are a beer nurd like me this is nirvana. We also went to a heavy metal craft beer dive bar just down the street named Bateau De Nuit. There weren't many people in there so we talked to the bartender and when he heard we were from Texas and liked sour beers he started pouring us all sorts of stuff...for free (this happened in Montreal too). The place filled up later and we ended up talking to a gay long haul trucker and his partner for a while.
