Could you point out to me where in the 2A it talks about having to justify a need?

Then don't own one. I don't see any reason why people own a lot of things they own, but I don't care if they own them.

And yes, you can own a tank. If you have the money you can own a lot of stuff you seem to think is illegal, including a boring civilian 737. But those aren't dangerous, right?

There are literally hundreds of gun laws already on the books.

Yeah right. I'm been in said Army for 20+ years and you are beyond retarded if you think any SM wants to fight an insurgency in the US. Not talking about backwoods goat frickers using outdated Soviet and improvised small arms and explosives but a population loaded with high-quality firearms and ammunition that is more often than not better than what we are issued. You are absolutely clueless.

Try and keep up.

Poster sarcastically said that needing assault rifles (or whatever) would go over well against the most powerful military in the world. Welp, the Taliban have done a decent job in fighting, not only the Russians in the 80s, but also the US since 2001. And they’ve done it, practically, with old Russian guns, RPGs, the occasional technical and mortar. They’re not advanced in their weaponary, just determined.

It worked out a little better for the guys protesting the federal grazing land deal or whatever it was, and they weren't even a politically popular cause. The government COULD have come in guns blazing and would have won, but they didn't. You might want to think about why.

Your pussy is bleeding all over the forum. There are already gun laws on the damn books, and a FBI NICS form and check at purchase.

CRIMINALS DO NOT OBEY THE frickING LAW!

YOU CAN NOT LEGISLATE EVIL!

Wait, you think the govt was in the right in the Waco deal? The Branch Dividians that were practicing their own religion and then burned alive?

No fricking way...

PLEASE, tell me how you think this is a good idea.

I mean, are you suggesting that if there is a shooting near my neighborhood, then the cops can come to me and everyone else registered, check my guns to see if I did it, and go from there? Is that what you're suggesting? That's fricking asinine.

So I can own tanks? RPGs? Nuclear weapons? F16’? That’s what the government owns? We can’t.

Again, I’m not against people owning guns. I’m MAGA to the core. I’m no snowflake. I just don’t see any reason that I need an assault rifle.
Why do people try to establish cred this way. We’ve heard this line of bullshite like 6000 times.

I’m starting to think it comes from a script.

It’s always he same: “I’m totally pro gun. I won some guns. I’m a republican. But I don’t minfldnif they take mine away.“

Oh and as far as your needs— don’t see anyone foorcing you to take an “assault” rifle. If you hunk you need one. Don’t get one. (Let’s not pretend you own one.)

But... Your personal perceived “need” is irrelevant to the discussion of rights. Your personal assessment of your needs is certainly not an argument of merit. Your poor perceptional ability is a terrible basis for legislation.

Further when did exercising a right require proof of need? What’s your need to vote? Do you need free speech?

There a reason it’s called the Bill of Rights. Not a Bill of Needs.
