Crazy thing...I met this guy from Oregon last year while on vacation in Mexico. He asked me specifically about this kid, Derian Moore. I told him that I hadn't heard of him but I'd keep an eye out for him. He told me the same story about Derian's long journey to LSU that's written about in the article. His son served in the military with Moore. He went on and on about what a great young man Derian is. I really hadn't thought about it till today.

Now that's a real cool story about a cool story.
Derian obviously has great character. Taking care of his mom before himself when he was a very young man was a very selfless decision.
He is already contributing in the locker room and at practice. Hope to see him get a chance to contribute on the field.

I've heard nothing but great things about Derian from his former teachers at HLB. HLB football was bad when he was there but he was a great athlete. I wish him the best at LSU. I hope he gets more playing time this year.
