We plan on flying to Amsterdam if we do

I'm not positive this is an option, but you may look into a night train. Catch the train at like 10am and wake up at 7am pulling into Amsterdam. Something like that. You go city center to city center, so very little time is wasted.

They kick you out of the tents and stop selling booze at 10, german time sharp. Often earlier then 10. If you want to see the city also, honestly its best to just go home. But otherwise you'll want to plan somewhere else preferably close to where you are staying. They have big after parties because it closes early, but again your next day would be wrecked.

So what time should we try and arrive at the tents? I assume we are going to be pretty much dead at 10pm but if there are after parties or people go to the bars, that would be good to know. I’m assuming you’ve done it before so what would you recommend?

Sort of already answered it previously I see.
