Pretty much everyone can see that our OL is awful. I don't think we turn the corner until something changes on the offensive line.

A completely healthy o-line worked UGA's front 7 like a rented mule. UT ain't running anything out there even close on the defensive side of the ball.

Saints have also had weak tackles relative to the interior of their line. This offense is tailor made for our O-line.

Does he realize that there are maybe 5 teams in college football who’s tackles don’t “suck”. OLT is probably THE most demanding position in the game and very few have the physical build and football IQ to play it well. That’s why they are so highly paid in the NFL.
A good OLT can make an average QB look good.

Perhaps.
But perhaps not.

Offensive linemen improve greatly year to year in High School, College, and first few professional years. Likely starters are 4 juniors and a senior. This is vastly different than 4 sophomores and a junior!

Next the offensive line performs as a unit. The only other similar unit on the field are DBs. Only the OL must perform 100% as a unit or disaster WILL result. The more they practice and play together the better the unit becomes. Injuries last year caused 6+ OL arrangements in the games.

Offensive Lines are like fine wines. They get better with maturity and age better in the barrel than the bottle.

I can’t guarantee what the quality of this wine will be when put on the table. I can’t promise that it won’t be vinegary crap, but it’s more likely that this year’s vintage will be superior to last years.
