Doesn't make much sense at all. So by that algorithm it's best to get commits from your best players early on because they will be more valuable? What a load of bs. Also before UGA moved up I noticed they had changed Ohio State's point total by .10 once again today. Not one single thing happened for them to move up at all.

No brotha it's not that at all. Think of it like an average. If you have 3 numbers 4, 8, and 7, then get a 12, it moves the avg pretty significantly. But the larger set of numbers you have, the smaller impact a high number will have on the avg. 247's not exactly an avg but similar. Hope this helps explain.
Basically in your scenario, with all our higher rated guys committing earlier, the score would drop when your lower guys commit the same magnitude regardless.
As for the Ohio St movement, maybe they updated some player rankings or had a player(s) score input incorrectly.
Hope this helps!

Its all very fluid at this time. Its only relevant once the February signing date has come and gone and all the recruits are in the fold. Even then, its more about filling needs than just sheer ratings.

Umm... no
All players become less valuable as more players commit to a school. Lindberg was worth 17.7 points when he committed to us on Sunday. After Milton committed now he’s worth 16.1 points.

Play with the class calculator. It will show you how the values change depending on the size of your class, and where individual guys are rated.

Like, Roy currently gives us 26.18 points. But if you remove him, it doesn't drop us 26.18 points because the value of everyone below him goes up since the class size got smaller. Even though Roy accounts for 26.18 points of the team total, removing him only drops us like 7-8 points. To me, this is probably the best thing about the 247 rankings. They don't let quantity outweigh quality.
