I just got a 2019 Tacoma after years of driving F150s and Rams.
The backseat isn’t anything like the F150’s, but it’s fine for kids.
It’s a whole lot more fun to drive the mid size truck.

I'll bet it would be. I've driven a full-sized truck my whole life (starter vehicle was an extended cab, 8-ft bed, 4wd Sierra with about an 80-ft turning radius
), and I always think about how nice it would be to be able to go into a parking garage without worrying about my top scraping, being able to pull off a u-turn on a 4-lane highway, not having to park in a spot with no other vehicles to get kids out of car seats, etc.
