Thoughts on this EGO weed trimmer with powerload?

I have a Greenworks electric trimmer and it's plenty powerful enough for most of my needs, but it's got some serious shortcomings. First of all, the .065" string is too thin so it burns through it too fast when I try to hit the thicker weeds or something up against concrete/brick. Secondly, the spool gets jammed all the time and doesnt want to auto-feed when I bump the bottom. I'm constantly having to re-adjust the string which is annoying.
The Greenworks trimmer has a straight shaft so I still use it for the Poulan edging attachment and thus it wasn't a complete waste.
What looks promising about this EGO trimmer is that it has thicker string (.095") and a pretty slick looking loading system that makes it compatible with other brands of string. I'm still not sure how good it is at auto-dispensing the string while in use.

Edit: Also looking at the Kobalt 80v trimmer since it has good reviews. .080" line but bigger everything else.

I have a Ryobi 40v and have found that it is reliable and powerful. I rent a place out of state and needed a trimmer. Lowes is right down the street so I figured I would just grab the Kobalt. It was a little more expensive, but I figured it might be worth it. I was wrong. It just doesn't have the power of the Ryobi so I returned it and went to Home Depot for the Ryobi. It was a newer model but still awesome and almost $90 less. I saw online that you can pick up the old model for $99. Just my two cents and the Ego trimmer looks nice, but the Ryobi is awesome.

I have the regular ego straight shaft. The head is comparable to an echo with loading etc.

Can’t speak for the EGO but I have to Kobalt 80volt and love it.
One battery is enough to take care of my half acre lot trimming and blow off the patio and driveway.

How do you like the string loader and bump feeder?
One pro for the Kobalt 80v is that their push mower gets a little better reviews than the Ego.

Its very easy to use. Just slide the string in, wind it up, then go.

I use one for the office which has a small yard and it is great so far as well. The grass in the front is very think and it does a decent job with it. The only downside I have found is that there is a second or 2 delay whenever you hit some tall stuff and it starts to bog down. It will sense this and kick the motor into another gear though.
I can cut twice on the mower's battery.
I had to turn the self propel all the way down. You feel like you are speed walking when its cranked up.

I went into home Depot to get the ego trimmer... But decided to try the Ryobi 40V. While not as strong as gas, it has plenty of power and battery on my acre lot. It will take .8 or .95 line, and has a similar loader to the ego. It just isn't powered and requires you to turn it manually like an echo

Cool. Yeah I think the Kobalt is a manual load situation but that's still better than the pre-loaded proprietary spools of .065" line I'm dealing with now.
The ego trimmer looks like it might "edge" out the Kobalt 80v but for some reason Kobalt is producing good mowers even though they're basically retrofitted gas mowers where as the ego mowers are engineered from the ground up to be electric.

i have one of these
it has plenty of power and battery life to get the job done, just a bit heavier than the gas counterparts due to the battery
