Oh I know it.
Intelligent people understand that the strategy of any liberal/socialist party (regardless of country or timeframe), is to woo the lower class of the population of getting a piece of the rich's pie, when in actuality it just makes the lower classes be more dependent on the government (i.e. politicians) to survive.
It all goes back to lining the pockets of politicians.
