Early evening happy hour and snacks, popcorn and soda until 10pm and A GOOD hot breakfast. Large, clean rooms (with suites) with great beds. Great prices. Always our preferred stop.

Drury’s are great. Founded 40 miles from my hometown. Can’t beat the happy hour and decently nice places. Drury Suites, Drury Inn, Pear Tree Inn.

Motel 6 has convincing advertising. For me, just a good location.

Staying at the Drury plaza in San Antonio next week. Mostly chose it because of location but the kids are already excited about free drinks and snacks every evening.

They have two properties on the river, we've stayed at both. We enjoyed them immensely. Hope they're still on their game for your trip.

I probably have spent 40 nights total at Drury Inns with no memorable issue.
The problem is their location, or more correctly, the lack thereof.

We aways try to stay at these when doing family events where several family members are going- not pricing everyone out of a trip but not having to stay at a La Quinta.

This might sound silly but I look at Drury Inn like Chik Fil A. Good family run operation that pays attention to the right things and provides solid service. I wish they were in more locations but they do their niche well.

We used to stay at the one on Poydras at least once a year for Saints games. On occasion we would come over on Friday and checkout on Sunday before a noon game. They would allow you to remain parked on property for the game and not charge you extra. Not sure if they still do this.

The one on Essen in BR was decent before the flood but has gone to shite since. It is super convenient for me so I’ll give it a try once a year but it’s trashed. Clientele is super sketchy and bugs in the room don’t cut it.

Stayed at a Drury for the very first time last weekend in Colorado Springs. Will definitely look into them more when I travel.

Very impressed with the Drury Plaza in San Antonio so far. I was expecting drinks and snacks every evening but they actually serve meals every evening too. Not anything fancy but with three kids it’s hard to pass on free hot dogs, chicken tenders, tacos and nachos every evening for free. They also have an indoor pool to go along with the rooftop one.

Glad to see they're still good on the river. They took over and remodeled two Holiday Inn properties there that I used years ago. Hopefully we'll be there soon. Gotta get out of the U.P. first though. Wisconsin Dells tomorrow working our way to the tropical depression....
