Posted this in rumors thread but do you guys think this is a possibility...
This is all a ploy to make teams up their offers to convince the pelicans to not move up in the draft. This scenario would leave all the teams wanting the only other top point guard in the draft out of the picture, because Memphis/knicks has to take garland or morant in that scenario.

Makes no sense. Garland to 4 is the play either way.
Only difference is that MEM wouldn’t trade 4 I suppose.

65% chance this is what's happening.
35% chance this is fake news made up by NYK to drive up the price of their own 3rd pick.
