re: I just tore my Achilles’ tendon

I didn't suffer a tear but I had to have my Achilles cut from the back of my heel in order for a bone spur to be ground down. The tendon was so calcified at the base of it that nearly 3/4" had to be removed and a portion of a tendon that runs under my foot to my big toe had to be cut from there and attached to my Achilles to repair it.

I was out of work for 3.5 months. Not sure how much a tear would change the recovery time.
