My dog had some issues around age 14-15. She recovered and made it to 17.
When the time came I knew it, it was completely different than the previous episodes. Took her to the vet the next day. Best not to prolong it.
This may or may not apply to you're situation, because of the brain tumor and all, but the dog will let you know. They are very aware of when it's their time.
And sorry, it does really suck.

Exactly.
People seem a tad quick to suggest putting a dog down.
I think many would have killed my dog 6 months ago.
Any ways, sorry about your dog that passed OP.
I hope this one recovers from whatever is ailing her.
