I’m damn proud of being from South Louisiana. That fact doesn’t permeate every fricking conversation I have.
Texas is its own genre culturally. Not a bad thing other than the faux pride aspect, but it’s not traditional southern. Big Hispanic influence, less traditional southern “plantation” type charm, etc.

And I answered Florida to this, which I do t think has much southern culture at all.
