I have no real interest in a personal level but could this man explain the connection between its presence and the death or is he at the point of “I have no idea but I’m going to pick a random cause”
If the latter his job performance should probably be reviewed because we don’t need coroners using their job for political purposes.

Coroner is actually a political position in many parishes. It's an elected position.
