I mean so have a lot of other things. Games evolve. There isn’t a single sport in history that operates on the exacts same rules now as it did when it was conceived.

Yes but when you think about it logically it’s absurd. I’m not saying that the batter should just be called out, but there needs to be a middle ground.

many dumb rules, laws, etc have been around forever. That’s no excuse for keeping them. Things can change. Football and basketball change rules every year. Hell, even golf made some big changes last year.

Got to always work to keep the game up to date.
