This fricking sucks. I truly believe that with Henry and Hill healthy we would be in a very different position right now but oh well. It’s like we get 1 pitcher back just to lose 1 again.

But here is the bright side, anyone who is in the tournament has the same shot at Omaha. If we get Hill and Henry back in time for the postseason, we can go on a run just the same as if we were hosting. Once we are there we just have to win, our previous record doesn’t matter at all. All these losses suck but it’s not too late to turn it around if we get healthy

I think last week I would have agreed with you. But now I don't trust a single damn pitch that's currently healthy. I just don't know what to think about this pitching staff. Of the healthy ones, I actually think Hess is the best option at starter right now. He has proven to be the guy that can go the deepest into a game. And even then, he is inconsistent. Never know which Hess you'll get.

As I reflect on Adam's preseason thread, I'm even more disgusted. I, and others, actually thought we may have not 3, not 4, but 5 actual effective starters.
The foundation of this team has collapsed and they have not played up to our expectations at any phase of the game.

Even if those guys return, they’ll be able to give you what, 2 innings over 3 games each?

It would help but I wouldn’t expect too much out of them.

Because Hill beat Bryant and Air Force you think he’s just going to walk into a Regional and dominate? Come on, man.

But what about hitting? Team is not a consistent offensive threat.

As far as I can see there is no bright side right now. LSU is not mentally tough in the field, at bat, or on the mound right now. I fear they have taken on the characteristics of their head coach and hitting coach.
