So in a shady environment, it's basically a guarantee it will need to be overseeded annually?

I planted y’all fescue in my backyard because it doesn’t get a lot of sun. Just oversees it in the fall every year. The seed itself is dirt cheap compared to others. In the summer if it starts turning brown just give it a little water.
