Best Tattoo Parlor?

I live in Lafayette, and have been on the fence about getting a tattoo. I want to find out where the best and most reputable tattoo place is in the Acadiana/South Louisiana area. Hell, I’ll even drive to BR if most of you guys say the best place is in that area. So what say the OT? Where is the best tattoo shop?

You don't sound ready for a tattoo.

The only advice I can give you is to think very long and hard about what you're going to get. Do not get anything trendy; I have way too many friends who got tribal tattoos back in the day and now look like total tools with their arm wraps.
When you pick out what you want, hang the picture in your house, where you have to look at it every day. If you're not tired of it in a couple of months, go for it.
Also, interview your potential artist. Ask him to draw out your tattoo. Have him make corrections. If he gets annoyed with you, he's not the artist for you.

If you're willing to drive to BR, why not come to a real city?
Eye Candy on Magazine Street is the choice in NOLA. LINK

Important decisions should involve this kind of effort and commitment.

Youre about an hour and some change away but I go to Elevated Ink in Geismar. Theyre very good.

Go to Alpha Tattoo in Baton Rouge. Parris Stewart has done all of mine and they're beautiful. He specializes in black and grey.

I'd recommend finding a tattoo you like and having the artist put a stencil of the design on you that you can wear for a few days so you can get used to the idea of walking around with it on your body. Then you can make a decision on whether to go through with it or not.

Find the artist that specializes in the type of tattoo you want. Don’t go to a guy that does only black and gray, then ask for full color.

Not having a tattoo is the new tattoo. I'd say what 7/8 out of 10 people have tattoos. Be different and dont get one. Back in the day only the bikers, military, and tuff dudes had tattoos. Now it's every soy boy, hipster, and damn near everyone. I have no problem with them, do as you please, but think long and hard about it.
