I'm an Anglican ( catholic with a lower case c) and I'm pretty sure neither of our Bibles nor our catechisms teach that.

We're we able to be good and keep all of God's ways perfectly Jesus would be superfluous. The Incarnation, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, and the Ascension would be unnecessary and moot.

Talk to your priest about this. I'm not diminishing being good and kind, I just don't think Roman Catholics believe being nice is good enough to get to heaven. Otherwise what is Mass all about anyway?

I could be wrong about this though.
