No, for a simple reason.
It will be like a collections agency. Paying them ANYTHING means you acknowledge the debt and that they will step up attempts to collect because they know you will pay.
By contrast, people who ignore them or tell them off eventually get ignored because the chances of seeing any of that money are extremely slim.

My great-great grandfather owned some slaves. Today, I am not enjoying the fruit of their labor - I inherited nothing from him. Therefore, if he didn't have stacks of money for his future generations to enjoy, he must have had some pretty piss-poor slaves. I'm supposed to be enjoying "white privilege" or some shite, but I'm not. I feel cheated. I want my reparations!

If Georgetown believes they did wrong and owe the descendants of slaves reparations, they can and should do as they please.
