Said a little while ago this offense appears to be legit for the first time in a long time. Offense is crisp, crossing patterns etc. Just working the defense. I’m as pessimistic as it comes when it involves the LSU offense but the rumblings are pretty exciting this offseason.

Effective technique when the OL can't consistently pass block. (Should've been used a lot more last season, instead of Max Protect that takes the TE's/RB's totally out of the passing game)

Here's a novel "Occam's Razor" type idea. How about recruiting OL's that played in a passing offense in high school that CAN already pass block, instead of Louisiana public high school Road Grader OL's that haven't ever pass blocked and can't learn it in college. Occam's Razor.

Your snide comments fall empty. Look at any prolific offense in the history of the game and you’ll find the key to most of them is the QB getting rid of the ball as fast as possible and letting the others do the work.

But go on and continue to comment in your sarcastic manner like everyone here is stupid and don’t understand what’s going on.

So this sounds like Ensminger will just be a bystander?

I’ve read that there’s a pretty good possibility that this will be Ensmingers last year before he retires. That’s why Brady was brought in hoping for a smooth transition between the 19/20 seasons when he takes over at OC.

No, it doesn’t. Ensminger is being a good manager. He’s giving his assistant the freedom to implement creative, innovative ideas. Brady, as far as I know, has never been a play caller. That takes experience. Ensminger has more tools in the toolbox than before and be more creative in his calls. Maybe Brady learns that Ensminger. It could be a symbiotic relationship.

Brady will likely be our next OC. The players love him apparently and he’s going to be a great recruiter.

This appears to be what will happen. I doubt Ensminger will be OC after this season. Joe seems to be the future.

As for the Myles Brennan talk, My friend was not critical of his play. He just said Myles was still missing open receiver. I took it as he still average and not where Joe is. My friend also said he still looks skinny. Yea, I know he’s up to 200lbs, but I’d like to see him at 215lbs.

They are saying this may be the most prolific passing team in LSU history.

50/50 450 yards and 8TDs. That’s what I expect come Sept.

And Lawrence was the highest rated QB in the history of the 247 rating system. One of the highest rated recruits at any position. Burrow is not Lawrence. Burrow was a low 4 star (.9003) coming out of HS. Fromm was 16/32 for 232 and 1 TD vs 2 INTs. Yards were OK, but 50% completion and 2 INTs vs 1 TD is shred? Fromm was also a 5 star on some services.
Recruiting rankings matter again?

What’s your excuse for those 5* receivers dropping balls?

I would believe this, but I’m so sick of the hiding shite.

Practice what you do and be great. All this concealing is just more excuses.

Great offenses don’t hide shite. They execute. That’s just me though I guess.

Any ways, we will all believe it when we see it.

How many times have I heard this in spring? Oh that's right since 2013 spring when Cam Cameron first became OC

If you believed this when Miles was the coach, you are the sucker.

After doing what he did for so many years, I had no reason to believe anything he said about the offense.

This staff has not been here long enough for me to doubt them in that way.

I believe it. I do look at things through purple and gold glasses. Burrow is a much better QB than most of us think. We have significant talent at WR. We have known for more than a decade that if we could get the ball to our talented skill players in space that we could embarrass defenses.

Do we finally have a basic framework to make that happen and a coach focused on getting us there. Yes we do.

Maybe. But it will not be 1 year.

I’m predicting this spring game will be more vanilla than vanilla ice cream and the rant will melt hard.

I’m also hoping that they come out and stomp a hole in Texas with spacing and creative plays and play calling.

I thought it was interesting that for the most part, the O dominated the D on the most recently released Big Cat drill, particularly in the trenches.

When the offense breaks the huddle with two te sets and with only one or two passing routes being ran will ppl still believe a new rpo offense really exist? The logic of not giving teams something to study in your spring game is ridiculous.. practice and executing your "new" offense in game like situations is more important
