There's a big difference between State and Federal races.

We may well see some seats in the state legislature swap across the aisle with this election due to Edwards having no real competition to challenge him (no big, statewide scandals, good financial rhetorical platform, no competition with enough name recognition below I-10) but I don't think it will transfer over to the Federal elections.

At this point Trump is looking like a Reagan 84 landslide for 2020 and Louisiana is very heavily Trump. Democrats in Louisiana will need to walk a very fine line between hooking onto JBE's wagon but doing so without being anti-Trump.

That is absurd. Trump will be extremely fortunate to be re-elected; and that will take help from the Democrats nominating a Klobuchar or Gillibrand or someone who can't be elected.

This is just false.

There has not been a single poll in which JBE gets above 50.1% to win outright in the first round with his most likely opponent being Abraham.

And the polls I've seen is JBE barely leading both republicans in the head to head matchups.
